Make Wedding Showers Fun and Memorable
The wedding day is the most significant day in a woman’s life. However, it does not mean that the wedding shower should be taken for granted, or paid little attention. Wedding showers are also extremely valuable parts of the wedding itself. There must be fun activities to entertain bridal shower guests. Guests may be traditional or zany, but the bottom line is, nobody wants to go to a wedding shower which is boring. Wedding showers celebrate new beginnings in a woman’s life. Attention and detail should be given to the games to make sure everyone will have a delightful time. People should go home with memories they will love, and talk about for years to come.
Popular Games for Wedding Showers
1. The Clothespin Game. Hand each guest a clothespin, and, think of a buzz word. If someone hears another person mentioning the buzz word, he, or she gets to take that person’s clothespin. The person, with the most clothespin wins.
2. Who Am I. Make a list of romantic couples, real or fictional, before the party. Choose couples that your guests are likely to recognize. Write each name on a name tag, and as guests arrive, put a name tag on their back. The guests’ task is to go around and ask “yes” or “no” questions about their secret identity. The game ends when everyone has found their partner.
3. Toilet Paper Wedding Dress. Divide the guests into two teams of at least three people each. Each team is given rolls of toilet paper, and each team chooses a “bride”. After 20 minutes, vote for the best wedding dress, and the funniest.
